King's Cross station benefitted from an extensive refurbishment in preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games, and as part of this programme, they required to ensure that all windows comply with government security regulations. iGP were called upon to install film to the glazing throughout the structure to ensure that these regulations were met.

iGP installed a 175 Micron Class A Film to all glazing panes larger than 0.25m2, in order to fall in line with the Ministry of Defence Special Services Group recommendation. For those panes which were less than 0.25m2, 100 Micron Class B film was used, ensuring that current guidelines were met, and, therefore, that all Network Rail glazing complies with government regulations.

iGP used Saint-Gobain/SolarGard 100 Micron Class B and 175 Micron Class A Bomb Blast Protection Film to ensure that the windows retain their integrity as a sheet material in the event of an explosion, thereby protecting millions of passengers daily.
